Courier Packaging Requirements

Packing Guidelines

At Sameday, we want to prevent damage to shipments as they move through our network. To help us do this, you, our partner, must ensure that your shipments are packed according to the following specifications:

Glassware

• Wooden or cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel and individually on the level of the glass component placed in the packaging, plus the “Fragile” label.

Windshields/Car windows

• Wooden or cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel and individually on the level of the glass component placed in the packaging, plus the “Fragile” label.

Liquids bottled in glass/Drinks

• Wooden or cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel and individually on the level of the glass component placed in the packaging, plus the “Fragile” label.

Paintings/Engravings

• Wooden or cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel. Only paintings and engravings that do not fall into the “Items Excluded from Delivery” category, plus the “Fragile” label.

Shower cabins, solar panels pipes, TVs, stoves, sinks, etc.

• Cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel, plus the “Fragile” label.

Car parts

• Cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel, plus the “Fragile” label.

Equipment

• Cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel, plus the “Fragile” label.

Appliances

• Original manufacturer’s packaging (no less than a cardboard box, PVC foil, foam), plus the “Fragile” label.

Floppy disks, tapes, CDs

• Cardboard packaging filled with protective material, bubble wrap.

Car tires

• A cardboard strip is placed above and below each tire. They are secured with at least two plastic strips, perpendicular to each other, so that they intersect in the center of the top and bottom surface of each tire section.

Rims

• Cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel.

Mattresses

• Foil, plus a raffia bag with handles for easy handling.

Ironing board

• Bubble wrap on the entire surface of the product.

Pet food, solid detergents

• Cardboard box or raffia bags.

Wire mesh

• Cardboard box.

Furniture (chaise longue, chairs, parquet)

• Wooden or cardboard packaging filled with protective material (polystyrene and bubble wrap) on all surfaces of the parcel and individually on the level of the object, the component of the glass product placed in the parcel, plus the “Fragile” label.

Palletized goods

• The goods placed on a pallet are wrapped in foil.

If the product you are shipping with Sameday Courier does not fall into the above categories, please ship it in the original manufacturer’s packaging or repack it according to its nature.

Packaging must ensure the integrity of the shipment in case of a fall of 80 cm diagonally and must be suitable for manual and mechanical handling.

PROHIBITED ITEMS AND SUBSTANCES FOR TRANSPORTATION

For the safe transportation of your parcels, you, our partner, should be aware that we cannot transport goods and substances that fall into the categories described below:

Prohibited goods for transportation

• Live or dead animals
• Human remains, including ashes
• Human organs
• Firearms or disassembled firearms, ammunition for firearms – regardless of type, shape or caliber
• Tobacco products
• Explosives, toxic gases
• Perishable products
• Waste
• Precious stones
• Ingots of any precious metal
• Precious metal jewelry
• Valuables (skins, watches, paintings, icons, collector’s coins, etc.)
• Money
• Car batteries/General purpose batteries
• Works of art, antiques, checks, ready-to-use credit cards, postage stamps, valid phone cards
• Drugs

Prohibited substances for transportation

• Toxic substances
• Infectious substances
• Radioactive substances
• Gases (flammable, toxic, non-flammable)
• Substances liable to spontaneous combustion
• Substances which emit flammable gases when in contact with water
• Organic peroxides
• Corrosive substances
• Substances in the category “Dangerous substances”.
• Substances included in the ADR category
