Associated with domestic and international courier services
The fuel price at the gas station is variable, and its fluctuation directly impacts the operational costs of dynamic industries like transportation and courier services.
At Sameday, we continuously analyze the development of fuel prices, and since we want to maintain delivery standards, we introduce the dynamic fuel index into the cost structure at the shipment level. This will be reflected in delivery services to easybox and home delivery, which include transportation within our network.
How the fuel surcharge is calculated in Sameday
The fuel index will apply to domestic and international courier services at the base shipment price level starting from 01.10.2023. It will be calculated monthly, based on the average price of diesel fuel on the first day of the month for the previous month:
Base price = price for weight interval/price for specific easybox type box (S, M, L), price for additional kilogram, price for additional network, price for additional packages.
Fuel Surcharge for April 2025
The fuel index value for April 2025 is 3% for easybox delivery services¹ and 3% for home delivery services NOVS² and OVS³.
The value of the index is set based on the average fuel price, according to the table below:
